Just wondering where this place is exactly, will the missions take you to it?

It north of the copper hammer mines. Once you reach the Iron Mines mission you head west to the copper hammer mines (which is an outpost). From there you head north, which will take you to the Citadel. Might want to check a map though as for the quickest routes to get there.
